What I Do With Scrap Yarn
What to do with scrap yarn, well, generally
Having scrap yarn after a crochet project is something I'm sure fellow crochet enthusiasts can relate to. So, what to do with scrap yarn? Well, a simple search on Google will tell you various scrap yarn crochet projects you can take on to not simply throw away.
However, there is just one issue. What if I don't have sufficient yarn to complete the project that was supposed to help clear my scrap yarn?
What I do with scrap yarn
Well, here's my take on what to crochet with scrap yarn: Pet toys. It's a win-win situation; I can get rid of scrap yarn and Toffee (my puppy) gets a new toy. No need for any googling of crochet patterns or feeling restricted by the colours of your scrap yarn, pets can't see colour anyways!
This is the latest toy I've made for Toffee. Start with a simple magic ring and a 'vomit' of colours, followed by stuffing added inside.
Also. the thing about having a low-maintenance boy who is happy to just 'be here' is that he is satisfied with ANY toys you throw his way. Colour, aesthetics, and weight don't matter. As long as he can play fetch with it, it is a good toy.
We're picking a pet-safe low-cost toy rather than a store-bought expensive one anyday.
